Top rap songs of all time

Chris Martin’s performance for Coldplay’s “Yellow” is a spontaneous masterpiece. The original concept for the music video was intended to be an elaborate beach party, but the miserable weather rendered this impossible. Martin had already missed a funeral for this video shoot and he was committed to capturing all of the footage despite the weather setbacks, so here we see Martin performing in a single shot as he walks down the beach drenched during the sunrise.

Born in Tokyo, Japan in 1947, Ischi was a self-described “loner” who had a difficult time fitting in. He heard yodeling on the radio as a child and became obsessed with the sound of it. It clearly made a massive impact on him, because his life was set on a completely different course after that.

What I like about GrungeCake (besides their name) is their motto: “A collection of empirical stories and honest reviews, targeting emerging and popular commodities.” This site is filled with ways to highlight the arts in every manner, and they do this through reviews, features, news, and streams — anything to tell the stories of the artists who frequent their pages.

Find an artist that matches you on some level (their sound, their branding, their professional level, their fanbase size, or perhaps someone who shares the same label as you, etc.), search for them on NBS, and compare data. Use their strengths to develop your own marketing hypotheses and give it a shot.

It was Chris’ natural eye for dynamism and lighting that made it look so amazing, as well as the insane post-production he did which made it look like an old VHS copy of an Italian movie. My dream came true!

Speaking of doubling, here’s a great example of bass and vocals finding unison. Carol Kaye was a member of “the Wrecking Crew,” the famous group of LA-based studio musicians who played on numerous hit recordings throughout the ’60s and ’70s. Their cumulative work on several Beach Boys hits, including the legendary Pet Sounds album, is an important chapter in rock history.
